Match Analysis

Two weeks after Manchester United was knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool, the defending Premier League champions get the chance for some payback when they host their traditional rivals Saturday in the EPL.

United showed their fighting spirit by recovering from a 3-0 deficit to draw 3-3 at Chelsea last weekend and is in the mood to face the team it overhauled as English football’s most successful last season.

Out of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup, United only has the Premier League and the minor attraction of the Europa League left to aim for. A loss at Old Trafford on Saturday could be a heavy blow toUnited’s title hopes.

Suarez is available again after missing the previous game because of suspension.

Liverpool have the worst goalscoring record away from home of any team inside the top seven with just 14 goals on the road all season. United meanwhile have an outstanding goalscoring record at home, with 35 goals. Only City have scored more at home this season.

And in only his second game back, Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra are bound to encounter one another on Saturday after their previous racism-related row.

Match Verdict

Manchester United's attack is finally coming back into its previously lethal form now that the likes of Rooney, Nani, Ashley Young and Tom Cleverley are returning to fitness. The Red Devils should have better luck finding the back of the net against Liverpool's tight defense with a stadium full of friendly supporters at Old Trafford, although the Reds won't make doing so particularly easy. i still can see United coming out of this game with the points and moving to the top of the table.
